Why…

I spent the vast majority of my adult life deployed overseas in various war zones conducting combat/security operations. It was truly an honor to have had the opportunity to serve my country and fellow Americans. This season of my life however came to an end in the summer of 2021 due to an injury received while evacuating American citizens from Afghanistan.

While I was at home (Tacoma, WA) recovering, family and friends would often seek my advice on how to defend themselves. They would often refer to our home as “Gotham City” citing the political atmosphere and lack of law enforcement. The city that I grew up in wasn’t how I remembered it, crime was rampant and criminals roamed the streets committing acts of violence unchecked.

I watched time and time again as innocent people were violently preyed upon by criminals with little to no recourse for the victims. I couldn’t stand this injustice any longer, for this reason I started Transcend Tactics. My purpose now is to transfer knowledge and skills to good people, knowledge and skills that were hard earned and acquired through years of real world experiences, and passed down to me through the sacrifices of heroes (lessons taught in blood).
